The Bank Indonesia issued Indonesian Rupiah banknotes in 7 different denominations, including this 2000 Indonesian Rupiah banknote (Prince Antasari). They are part of the previous series Indonesian Rupiah banknotes series. The Bank Indonesia started issuing these 2000 Indonesian Rupiah banknotes in 2009. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2016.
The man with turban on the 2000-2014 series banknote of 2000 Indonesian Rupiah is Pangeran Antasari, Sultan of Banjar and national hero of Indonesia. On the back side of the Rp 2000 bill is a group of traditional Tarian Adat Dayak dancers, wearing a feather headdress.
